This policy explains how Budgio Money handles personal data and device permissions.
Last updated July 30, 2026.
1. Information we process
Budgio Money stores the information you enter or import, including accounts, budgets, expense details,
merchant and category information, preferences, and receipt images. This information is used to provide
budgeting, insights, search, import activity, and export features.
2. Permissions
Camera, photo library, and file access permissions are requested only to scan or import receipts.
You can continue using manual expense entry without granting all scan-related permissions.
3. Local-first storage
Budgio Money is designed with local-first principles. Your data is available from storage on your device,
and the app falls back to local-only storage when iCloud is unavailable. Receipt scanning and AI-assisted
extraction are performed on-device. Budgio Money does not upload expense details or receipt content to
Anantek servers for processing.
4. Private iCloud and CloudKit sync
When you are signed in to iCloud and iCloud is available, Budgio Money uses Apple's private CloudKit
database to sync app records such as accounts, budgets, expenses, and preferences across your Apple devices.
This data is associated with your Apple ID, handled by Apple, and is not stored on Anantek servers.
Receipt-image sync is optional and can be enabled or disabled in Budgio Money. If enabled, receipt images
are stored in iCloud so they can appear on your other devices and be restored after reinstalling the app.
This uses your iCloud storage. Apple's terms and privacy policies apply to iCloud and CloudKit.
5. Purchases and RevenueCat
Apple processes in-app payments. Budgio Money uses RevenueCat to display purchase offers, validate purchases,
restore access, and determine whether Plus is unlocked.
For those purposes, RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier, device and operating-system information,
app-use timestamps, product and transaction information, and Apple purchase receipts. Budgio Money does not send
your expense entries or receipt images to RevenueCat. RevenueCat handles this information under its
privacy policy
.
6. Exports and sharing
When you export data (CSV, Export Bundle), files are generated at your request and shared through your device workflow.
7. Data deletion
Budgio Money does not require a Budgio account. You can delete entries within the app, and those deletions
propagate to your other devices when iCloud sync is active. Removing the app deletes its locally stored data
from that device, but it may not delete data already stored in iCloud or in backups managed by you or Apple.
You can manage Budgio Money's iCloud data through your Apple device's iCloud storage settings. For questions
about purchase records or other deletion guidance, contact support.
